About the Combatting Legionella and Water Treatment Conference
This conference, organised by H&V News, gives anyone in the engineering and facilities management industry a chance to hear innovative speakers discuss developments in the sector. Key speakers - such as principal specialist inspector John Newbold from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Lorraine Medcalf, Senior Policy Advisor for COSHH and Chemical Carcinogens Unit (HSE) - will discuss topics such as the impact of L8 ACOP and HSG274 on landlords’ duties and responsibilities.
Dr. Sam Collins, Legionella Microbiologist, and Dr. Jimmy Walker, Water System Microbiology and Decontamination Expert, both from Public Health England, will discuss the pros and cons of rapid methods of Legionella testing in conjunction with Elise Maynard, Chair of the Water Management Society.
The conference will also feature speakers on site management in care homes, for both residential and commercial parts of the industry.
It is a truly unique opportunity to have such a spotlight on our specific water treatment area, and to gain so much knowledge from so many expert professionals in the field.
