Working towards a clearer future

In just three decades Clearwater has grown from a regional water solutions provider to one of the largest suppliers of water treatment, hygiene and air solutions, servicing major brands across the UK and Ireland.

Since our humble beginnings we have become far more than just a leading supplier of these solutions. Alongside our continued work increasing sustainability and delivering ROI for our clients, we have been instrumental in the development of governmental legislation and have generated tens of thousands in charity donations.

Clearwater is about more than simply reducing the amount that companies spend on water and energy consumption. As a nearly 500 person strong business, we are passionate about the wider social and economic impacts that our solutions have, not just on end consumers, but also on the environment that surrounds them.

  • 1990

    Clearwater Technology Ltd founded

    Within two years of launching, we moved into our new office and warehouse facilities in Watchmoor Park, Camberley and gained an ISO9002 Quality Standard.

  • 1994

    Growing company

    By 1994 we had outgrown the new facilities and relocated to offices in Minster Court, Camberley with Watchmoor Park becoming our operational depot.

  • 1995

    Joined HVCA

    In 1995, Clearwater joined the Heating & Ventilating Contractors Association (HVCA) which later became the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA).

  • 1996

    Southern growth

    By 1996 we had become a leading and respected solutions provider across London and the South East .

  • 1998

    Northern growth

    1998 saw our focus expand to the Midlands and the North with the appointments of numerous engineers in both regions.

  • 1999

    Water Ancillaries Ltd aquired

    1999 saw Clearwater acquire competitor Water Ancillaries Ltd and establish chemical production facilities and laboratory in the Midlands. By the end of the year we had attained a 9001 quality standard and also registered with the Code of Conduct Association, now known as LCA

  • 2000

    10 years in business

    Following a momentous first ten years in business, we kicked off the new millennium with the introduction of a dedicated business development team.

  • 2001

    New facility in Bristol

    Launched a new facility in Bristol to serve the South West and Wales. That same year we gained our ISO 14001 environmental management rating.

  • 2002

    Scottish expansion

    In 2002 we expanded into Scotland with a new office in East Kilbride. We also formed SafeCare, the consultancy services arm of the business. Following rapid growth, Clearwater’s Midlands office was relocated to a bespoke facility in Bromsgrove. The following year we achieved the Investors in People standard.

  • 2004

    Government contract

    2004 saw Clearwater appointed as the approved supplier of water treatment for the office of Government Commerce.

  • 2006

    Halifax office opened

    In 2006 a new office was launched in Halifax to serve the surrounding region.

  • 2009

    Northern Ireland expansion

    In 2009 we set up in Northern Ireland with the opening of our Belfast office.

  • 2010

    More offices in the North

    In 2010 greater demand for Clearwater’s services in the North led to the closing of the Halifax office and the opening of two new offices – one in Warrington serving the North West and one in Garforth serving the North East. 2010 also saw our City and Guilds training programmes accredited for Legionella control and awareness.

  • 2011

    Pump services division established

    In 2011 we established our dedicated pump services division.

  • 2012

    Growth hits £25 million

    In 2012 we celebrated a major milestone – Clearwater’s growth was recorded at £25 million; a £20 million increase from the year 2000. Later in 2012 we introduced Clearsafe, a paperless field force automation system that is more efficient to use and kinder to the environment.

  • 2015

    25 years in business

    In 2015 we celebrated 25 years delivering Water and Air Services and joined Baird Capital in partnership. This landmark year also saw our staff raise £27,000 for Cancer Research UK.

  • 2016

    Head office move

    In 2016 we relocated our head office from Camberley to Frimley.

  • 2017

    Midlands move

    In 2017 our Midlands operations moved to larger facilities in Redditch where the Clearwater Technical Training Academy will launch in 2018.
